The esophagus is defined as a muscular tube that has an important role in the digestive system. Symptoms of esophagitis

The patient who has esophagitis suffers from several symptoms, the most important of these symptoms include:

  • The feeling of burning throughout the day.
  • Feeling pain whenever swallowing food and with difficulty swallowing.
  • Loss of appetite and decrease the appetite for food.
  • The food staying in the esophagus for some time and feeling the need to drink water constantly.
  • Feeling some pain in the chest area behind the bones of the rib cage.
  • Pain in the abdomen.

These symptoms may develop when esophageal reflux is neglected and not treated to show the following symptoms:

  • Lose weight significantly.
  • Disorders of the digestive system.
  • Anemia and the effect on blood circulation.
  • Yellowing of the body, facial pale and severe fatigue.
  • Acid reflux stomach and affect the mouth and teeth.
  • Relaxation of the mouth of the stomach and influence its work.
  • Hernia occurs in the diaphragm.

Causes of esophagitis

  • Over-drinking and smoking.
  • High x-ray imaging.
  • The use of special medical drugs have a role on the work of the muscle’s layers in the esophagus as some types of medicines and special types of supplements.
  • Infection of bacterial or fungal infection or infection of special viruses.
  • Infection of esophageal reflux disease.
  • Frequent vomiting for different factors.
  • Lack of food hygiene or eating high acidity foods.
